The scope of this effort encompasses technical and professional support services necessary to provide the full range of IT engineering and operations, security, maintenance, and user support required to support the NEl's mission. These services include, but are not limited to, project management, maintenance and management of IT, network management, infrastructure support, service desk support, security support,and management support services to provide a managed support services solution. The NEI has moved to a Managed IT Services environment by contract staff, whereas the federal leads are more in an oversight role than hands on.
Independently and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall be required to furnish all the necessary services and qualified personnel as needed to perform the SOW. The Contractor's Project Manager (PM) shall report directly to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). NEI aligns its IT services with the current and future business needs of the NEI and continuously works to improve the quality of the IT services it delivers and its relationship with its customers. The Contractor shall assist NEIto align its IT organization with NEl's mission and objectives, and efficiently and effectively manage IT services that support networks, systems, and applications across the NEI enterprise.
